KORIBOR Rates Show Minor Adjustments in Longer Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) were reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information division of Yonhap News Agency, showing slight changes in select longer-term rates as of 11:00 a.m. today.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for shorter terms, such as the 1-week and 1-month, remained unchanged at 2.50% and 2.60%, respectively. The 2-month term saw a minor increase from 2.68% to 2.69%. More noticeable changes were observed in the 6-month and 12-month terms, with the 6-month rate climbing from 2.87% to 2.90% and the 12-month rate from 3.20% to 3.25%.

These updates in KORIBOR reflect ongoing developments in the financial markets, impacting lending and borrowing dynamics across the banking sector in South Korea. The stability in short-term rates suggests a steady market sentiment, while the adjustments in longer-term rates might indicate shifting expectations for future economic conditions.
