Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed minimal changes today, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates, which were posted at 11:00 a.m., reflect stability across most terms, with only a slight decrease observed in the 3-month and 12-month rates.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week and 1-month KORIBOR rates remained unchanged at 2.50% and 2.60%, respectively. Similarly, the 2-month and 6-month rates held steady at 2.71% and 2.90%. However, the 3-month rate saw a slight dip from the previous session, moving from 2.82% to 2.81%. The 12-month rate also experienced a minor decline, decreasing from 3.17% to 3.16%.
The stability in KORIBOR rates is seen as an indication of consistent market conditions, with only marginal fluctuations observed in the longer-term rates. These rates are crucial indicators of borrowing costs in the interbank market and are closely monitored by financial institutions and investors.
