Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained largely stable today, with minor fluctuations observed in longer-term rates. The rates, which are a key indicator of interbank lending costs, are published by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information division of the Yonhap News Agency. According to Yonhap News Agency, today's KORIBOR rates saw no change in the 1-week and 1-month terms, both holding steady at 2.50% and 2.60%, respectively. The 2-month rate experienced a slight decrease, moving from 2.71% in the previous session to 2.70% today. Similarly, the 6-month rate dropped by 0.01%, from 2.90% to 2.89%. The 3-month term maintained its rate at 2.81%, while the 12-month rate saw a marginal decrease from 3.16% to 3.15%. These rates play a crucial role in the financial markets, affecting the cost of borrowing between banks. The slight adjustments in the longer-term rates reflect ongoing market conditions and economic forecasts.
