KORIBOR Rates Remain Steady Across Most Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR), as reported by Yonhap Infomax, saw stability across most terms in the latest session. The rates, which are crucial for determining the interest rates on loans and deposits in South Korea, remained unchanged for the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, 6-month, and 12-month terms.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the only change was observed in the 3-month term rate, which saw a slight decrease from 2.73% in the previous session to 2.72% today. The 1-week and 1-month rates both held steady at 2.75% and 2.74%, respectively. Similarly, the 2-month rate remained constant at 2.73%, while the 6-month and 12-month rates also showed no change, standing at 2.68% and 2.60%, respectively.

The stability in KORIBOR reflects the current economic conditions and monetary policies in South Korea. Financial institutions and market participants closely monitor these rates as they influence the cost of borrowing and the returns on savings, impacting economic activity in the country.
