Seoul: Korean Air Co., South Korea's flag carrier, announced the extension of its suspension of the Incheon-Dubai route by one week, now set to last through March 15. This decision comes in response to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Korean Air flights 951 and 952, which operate between South Korea's Incheon and the United Arab Emirates' Dubai, faced diversions or cancellations starting February 28. This action followed U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, impacting the usual flight schedule.

The daily flights were initially planned to be suspended until the upcoming Sunday. However, Dubai's airport authorities have informed Korean Air of a flight ban extending through March 15. An airline official stated, "We plan to decide whether to fly after that date depending on the situation."

Korean Air remains the sole domestic airline offering the Incheon-Dubai route, underscoring the significance of this suspension for travelers relying on this connection.
