Seoul: Korea Investment Holdings Co. announced a third-quarter net profit of 674.9 billion won (US$460.7 million), marking an increase of 114.6 percent from the same period last year. The company disclosed these figures in a regulatory filing, highlighting significant growth in its financial performance during the July-September timeframe.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Korea Investment Holdings also reported a 133.6 percent rise in operating income, reaching 849.1 billion won for the quarter. Additionally, the company's revenue experienced a slight increase of 0.7 percent, totaling 5.98 trillion won.
The company's earnings surpassed market predictions, with analysts having estimated an average net profit of 465.2 billion won. This estimate was based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
