Korea Interbank Offered Rates Show Slight Increases in Shorter Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) as reported by Yonhap Infomax, a branch of Yonhap News Agency, indicate slight increases in the rates for shorter terms. The rates were posted at 11:00 a.m. and show that the 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month rates have all seen a marginal rise compared to the previous session.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week KORIBOR remains unchanged at 2.75% compared to the previous session. The 1-month rate has increased by 0.01 percentage points, now standing at 2.85% from the previous 2.84%. Similarly, the 2-month rate has risen to 2.94% from 2.93%.

The 3-month KORIBOR has climbed to 3.04%, showing a minor increase from the previous 3.03%. Additionally, the 6-month rate has reached 3.31%, up from 3.30%. The 12-month rate has also seen a slight rise, now at 3.67%, compared to the previous session's 3.66%.

These movements in the interbank lending rates are closely monitored as they are indicative of the prevailing economic conditions and can influence a variety of financial and economic decisions.
