Seoul: A man has been booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a part-timer at his home after hiring her for makeup services via the online secondhand marketplace Karrot, police said Wednesday. The incident reportedly occurred when the woman was hired to provide makeup services for a profile photo shoot.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the man, in his 30s, is suspected of raping the woman on August 2. The alleged assault took place after the woman rejected his physical advances. She managed to escape and immediately reported the incident to the authorities.

The Seoul Gwanak Police Station has confirmed that they are investigating the details of the case to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault. Further information is being gathered to determine the appropriate legal actions.
