Korea Interbank Offered Rates Remain Mostly Steady

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained largely unchanged today, as reported at 11:00 a.m. by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates for various terms, including 1-week, 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month, saw no change from the previous session, while the 1-month term experienced a slight increase.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week KORIBOR stood at 2.50%, maintaining its rate from the previous session. Similarly, the 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month rates were steady at 2.71%, 2.83%, 2.92%, and 2.88% respectively. The only movement was observed in the 1-month rate, which inched up from 2.61% to 2.62%.

The stability in these rates reflects the current market conditions and expectations. Financial institutions often use KORIBOR as a benchmark for setting interest rates on loans and deposits, making these rates a significant indicator of the broader economic environment.
