Seoul: Kolon Industries Inc. on Wednesday reported its third-quarter net profit of 10.2 billion won (US$7 million), shifting from a loss of 4.3 billion won a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the July-September period fell 12.8 percent on-year to 26.9 billion won. Revenue increased 3.2 percent to 1.18 trillion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the latest earnings report marks a significant turnaround for Kolon Industries, highlighting its ability to rebound from last year's loss. Despite the decrease in operating income, the increase in revenue indicates a rise in demand or effective cost management strategies.
