Seoul: The Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) announced on Monday the establishment of the "K-capital market forum," a new initiative aimed at creating long-term strategies to enhance the local capital market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the forum is composed of eight members, including executives from local brokerages and academic experts, with support from the Korea Capital Market Institute, a local financial think tank. The forum plans to hold monthly meetings starting in May, where they will gather insights from various experts. The ideas discussed will be compiled into a report to be submitted to the National Assembly and the government to assist in policymaking.
The discussions within the forum will address multiple agenda items related to the improvement of the local capital market, as noted by the association.
