Beijing: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un joined Russia's Vladimir Putin and China's Xi Jinping at a military parade in Beijing, marking the first joint meeting of leaders from Pyongyang, Moscow, and Beijing in 66 years. The event took place at Tiananmen Square, showcasing a significant display of unity among the three nations.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the gathering of Kim, Putin, and Xi at the parade highlighted their collective defiance against Western powers. Kim, dressed in a black suit and gold tie, made a notable entrance at the red-carpeted main entrance of Tiananmen Square, where he was warmly received by Xi. The leaders, including Putin, were seen engaging in conversations with smiles as they proceeded to the rostrum.

This historic gathering echoes a similar event in 1959, when North Korean founder Kim Il-sung, Chinese founder Mao Zedong, and former Soviet Union Prime Minister Nikita Khrushchev attended a military parade together at the same venue. The parade, which began at 9 a.m. local time, commemorated the 80th anniversary of China's victory over Japan and the end of World War II, featuring China's latest military advancements.
