Seoul: Kia Corp. on Monday introduced high-performance variants of the EV3, EV4, and EV5 models. The South Korean automaker aims to strengthen its electric vehicle (EV) product lineup with these new additions.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the newly introduced EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT are equipped with dual-motor systems and feature GT-exclusive exterior and interior designs. These models also incorporate performance-improved driving technologies. This marks the first time Kia has applied its high-performance GT badge to its mainstream EV models, having previously used the designation on limited models such as the EV6 GT.
In addition to the GT lineup, Kia also released revamped versions of the base EV3 and EV4 models. These updated versions incorporate customer feedback by enhancing standard safety and convenience features, all while maintaining the current pricing.
Kia stated that the introduction of the new GT lineup and the upgraded models highlights its strategy to broaden customer choice. The company is committed to accelerating the popularization of EVs through a wide range of options.
