KG Mobility Records 26.4% Increase in November Sales Due to Strong Export Growth.

Seoul: KG Mobility Corp., previously recognized as SsangYong Motor Co., announced a significant 26.4 percent increase in sales for November, compared to the same period last year, driven predominantly by a surge in international demand.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the automaker reported sales of 8,849 vehicles in November, up from 7,000 units in the previous year. This growth was fueled primarily by a dramatic 184.1 percent rise in exports, totaling 5,540 units. However, the company’s domestic sales experienced a decline of 34.5 percent, with 3,309 units sold.

KG Mobility attributed the robust export performance to heightened demand in key markets such as Hungary, Chile, and Turkey. Conversely, the downturn in domestic sales was linked to the prioritization of product allocation for international markets and production challenges resulting from severe snowfall.

In response to these dynamics, a company official stated, “We will also ensure robust measures to address the domestic market with aggressive
marketing strategies, including the opening of a test drive center.”
