Columbia: The state-run Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Columbia, a city in South Carolina, to collaborate on developing power distribution grid solutions tailored for the American market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, as part of the MOU, KEPCO plans to test its advanced distribution management system and building energy management system within Columbia. This initiative aims to create solutions that can be implemented in the city's power grid. Columbia is actively working towards achieving full electricity supply from renewable energy sources by the year 2036.

KEPCO views this project as a strategic opportunity to broaden its presence in the U.S. power market, which is recognized as the largest in the world.
