Seoul: KEPCO Engineering and Construction (EandC) Co. has announced a significant rise in its second-quarter net profit, reaching 2.7 billion won (US$1.9 million), marking a 736.5 percent increase from the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating income for the April to June timeframe was 3 billion won. This is a notable turnaround from the previous year's loss of 511 million won. However, the company's sales experienced a slight decline of 2.7 percent, totaling 103.3 billion won for the quarter.
