Seoul: Award-winning Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda is set to visit South Korea next month to promote his latest work, "Sheep in the Box," as announced by its distributor. The visit is scheduled for June 4-5 and Kore-eda will be accompanied by child actor Rimu Kuwaki.
According to Yonhap News Agency, "Sheep in the Box" delves into the story of a Japanese couple who integrate a humanoid robot, resembling their deceased son, into their family. The sci-fi drama is among the 22 films selected to compete for the top prize at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Following its premiere at the festival, the film is slated for release in South Korean theaters on June 10.
