Hyundai Unveils Updated Ioniq 9 Electric SUV in South Korea

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. has introduced an updated version of its flagship Ioniq 9 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) in South Korea, featuring enhanced convenience across all trims.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai has made significant upgrades to the Ioniq 9, focusing on comfort and practicality. The entry-level Exclusive trim now includes second-row ventilated and swiveling seats as standard. The Prestige trim has been upgraded with water-repellent front windows, and the top-tier Calligraphy trim now features heated third-row seats as a standard offering.

In an effort to boost the vehicle's appeal, Hyundai has also extended premium design elements, previously exclusive to the top trim, to the Prestige trim. This move aims to attract more customers by providing a luxurious feel at a more accessible price point.

The Ioniq 9, which was first launched in February of the previous year, is equipped with a 110.3 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. This enables the SUV to achieve a driving range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge, ensuring that all variants offer impressive long-distance travel capabilities.

A company official highlighted the improvements by stating, "The updated Ioniq 9 further enhances product competitiveness by expanding preferred features while offering the distinct value of a large electric SUV backed by proven safety performance."
