Seoul: Hyundai Motor Group announced the establishment of a cybersecurity working group within the Trilateral Economic Dialogue (TED), a private consultative body comprising South Korea, the United States, and Japan. TED serves as a U.S.-led platform for government and business leaders from these nations to explore deeper economic collaboration and shared interests.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the cybersecurity working group is the inaugural topic-specific subgroup within the trilateral dialogue. Hyundai Motor Co. and its affiliate Kia Corp. initiated this effort in response to the increasing frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks. The rising use of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) is also elevating security risks among companies connected through global supply chains.
