Hyundai Motor Achieves 33rd Rank on Time Magazine’s World’s Best Companies 2025 List

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's leading carmaker, announced its impressive ranking as 33rd on Time magazine's World's Best Companies 2025 list, marking it as the sole Korean company within the top 100.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this achievement represents a significant leap from Hyundai's previous position at 192nd in the same ranking last year. The company has surpassed Toyota Motor Corp., which is ranked 48th. Hyundai's recognition is attributed to its performance in employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and environment, social, and governance (ESG) performance, earning it the highest scores among Asian carmakers.

In collaboration with Germany's data and business information platform Statista, Time has been identifying the world's 1,000 best-performing companies annually since 2023. "We expect this analysis to help strengthen investor confidence in Hyundai and further enhance our brand awareness," a company official stated.

Hyundai Motor's operating profit surged by 45 percent, reaching 14.2 trillion won (US$9.98 billion) in 2024, up from 9.8 trillion won in 2022. This growth was supported by an improved product mix and an expanded lineup of eco-friendly vehicles.
