Hyundai Glovis Completes Strategic Defense Delivery to Poland

Seoul: Hyundai Glovis Co., the shipping logistics unit of Hyundai Motor Group, announced the completion of its transport of K2 tanks and K9 self-propelled howitzers to Poland last week, marking a significant milestone in its defense logistics operations.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Glovis successfully delivered 20 K2 tanks, manufactured by Hyundai Rotem Co., and 21 K9 howitzers, built by Hanwha Aerospace Co., to the Gdansk Port in Poland on Thursday. This delivery underscores Hyundai Glovis's expanding capabilities in handling sensitive defense logistics.

The company has also transported six K9 howitzers to Estonia, further proving its expertise in high-stakes defense transportation. Hyundai Glovis attributes this success to its long-standing expertise in vehicle carrier operations, which enables it to provide comprehensive transport services for high-value cargo.

Throughout this year, Hyundai Glovis has transported a total of 124 K2 tanks and 60 K9 howitzers across Europe, with local land transport facilitated by Adampol, its Polish logistics subsidiary. A representative from Hyundai Glovis stated, "We will actively target the specialized cargo market based on our accumulated global transport capabilities, while also contributing to the overseas expansion of Korea's strategic industries."
