Vietnamese embassies in foreign countries held homage-paying ceremonies and opened funeral books for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who died at 1:38pm on July 19, 2024. In Vietnam, the respect-paying ceremony for the deceased started at the National Mourning Hall in Hanoi from 7am of July 25.
