Seoul: HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. (KSOE) announced on Monday that it has secured a 515.4 billion-won (US$373.3 million) order from an Oceanian client to construct four liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the shipbuilding subholding company of HD Hyundai Co. stated that its affiliate, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., will be responsible for building the vessels, which are expected to be delivered by the first half of 2030.
With this new contract, HD KSOE has amassed orders totaling US$18.08 billion for 162 vessels in the current year, reaching 77.6 percent of its annual order target.
