Seoul: HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering (KSOE) Co. on Monday reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 993 billion won (US$677.2 million), marking a 36.6 percent increase from the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter reached 1.03 trillion won, a significant rise compared to 499.1 billion won from the same period last year. Additionally, HD KSOE's revenue saw an increase of 13.8 percent, reaching 8.15 trillion won.

The financial results highlight the company's robust performance amid challenging market conditions. HD KSOE's strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies appear to have contributed significantly to its strong quarterly results. The substantial growth in both net and operating profits underscores HD KSOE's position as a leading player in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry.
