Seoul: HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. said Friday it has secured a 263.2 billion-won (US$178 million) order to build two oil tankers for a shipping company in Greece. The deal covers two 157,000-deadweight-ton (DWT) tankers, with deliveries scheduled by May 2029, the company said in a regulatory filing. The name of the Greece-based client was not disclosed.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Samho is one of three shipbuilding affiliates under HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE), along with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. HD KSOE is a sub-holding company of HD Hyundai Co., South Korea's leading shipbuilding group. HD KSOE aims to secure $23.31 billion worth of orders this year, up from $18.16 billion last year.
