HD Hyundai Electric’s 2025 Net Income Surges 46.8% Amid AI Infrastructure Demand

Seoul: HD Hyundai Electric Co., a South Korean electric equipment manufacturer, announced a significant increase in its 2025 net income, which climbed 46.8 percent from the previous year. This growth was driven by robust demand in the wake of investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's annual net profit for the year amounted to 731.8 billion won (US$498.3 million), a substantial rise from 498 billion won in 2024. The company's operating profit also saw an impressive increase, reaching 995.3 billion won, up from 669 billion in the prior year. Additionally, annual sales experienced a 22.8 percent boost, totaling 4.07 trillion won.

The fourth quarter demonstrated particularly strong results, with net profit for the October-December period soaring 92.8 percent on-year to 245.3 billion won. Operating profit similarly jumped 93 percent to 320.9 billion won, while sales gained 42.6 percent to 1.16 trillion won.

The surge in HD Hyundai Electric's growth in 2025 was largely attributed to the rise in overseas power equipment sales, which increased by 29.7 percent on-year. This was largely driven by the strong demand in North America, fueled by expanding investments in high-capacity infrastructure, such as AI data centers.

Looking forward, HD Hyundai Electric aims to achieve $4.22 billion in orders and 4.35 trillion won in sales this year. The company plans to focus on high-value deals and expand its lineup of eco-friendly products to enhance profitability.
