Seoul: HD Hyundai Electric Co., a South Korean electric equipment manufacturer, reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 245.3 billion won (approximately US$167 million), marking a 92.8 percent increase from the same period last year. The company's financial performance for the October-December quarter reflected a substantial growth trajectory.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company also experienced a significant rise in operating profit, which reached 320.9 billion won, up 93 percent from the previous year. Revenue for the quarter increased by 42.6 percent, totaling 1.16 trillion won. These figures surpassed market expectations, as analysts had projected an average net profit estimate of 213.1 billion won based on a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
