Seoul: Hanwha Systems Co. reported a significant increase in its second-quarter net profit, reaching 47 billion won (US$33.8 million), which marks a 73.9 percent rise from the same period in the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating income for the April-June period experienced a decline, falling 60.4 percent to 33.5 billion won. Despite the drop in operating income, Hanwha Systems saw its revenue increase by 11.8 percent, totaling 768.2 billion won for the quarter.

The substantial growth in net profit suggests a noteworthy financial performance by Hanwha Systems, even as the company navigates challenges in operating income. The increase in revenue indicates an expanding business, contributing to the overall positive financial results for the quarter.
