Hanwha Ocean Secures $498.8 Million Order for LNG Carriers from Oceania

Seoul: Hanwha Ocean Co. announced that it has secured a significant order valued at 738.3 billion won (approximately $498.8 million) to construct two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers for a shipping company based in Oceania. The vessels are set for delivery by June 2029, as per the company's regulatory filing.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this latest order brings Hanwha Ocean's total secured orders to five vessels, collectively worth $890 million, for the current year. The company anticipates a growing demand for LNG carriers, spurred by LNG terminal development projects in the United States and other regions.

Hanwha Ocean emphasized its strategic focus on high-value large vessels and its adaptable approach to market fluctuations. The company aims to continue leveraging ongoing industry trends to drive future growth.
