Hanwha Engine reported a significant increase in its first-quarter net income, reaching 52.9 billion won (US$35.6 million), marking a 172.3 percent rise compared to the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the January-March quarter was 51.4 billion won, reflecting a growth of 130.3 percent from a year earlier. Additionally, Hanwha Engine's sales climbed by 8.5 percent, amounting to 345.2 billion won during the first quarter.
