Hanwha Aerospace Partners with UAE Defense Firm to Produce K9 Howitzers in Middle East

Seoul: Hanwha Aerospace Co., South Korea's leading defense company, announced a new agreement with a United Arab Emirates (UAE) defense firm aimed at expanding its presence in the Middle East. The partnership focuses on the production of K9 self-propelled howitzers, a strategic move to strengthen its foothold in the region.

According to Yonhap News Agency, under the terms of the deal, Hanwha Aerospace will collaborate with Generation 5 Holding. Their joint efforts will concentrate on the production and sales of the K9 155-millimeter self-propelled howitzer, which is currently operational in 10 countries. This collaboration marks a significant step for Hanwha Aerospace in enhancing its status and operational reach within the Middle Eastern defense sector.
