Seoul: South Korean defense firm Hanwha Aerospace Co. is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to export its Chunmoo multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) to Croatia. According to Yonhap News Agency, the company has been engaged in final negotiations with Croatian authorities to supply 18 Chunmoo launchers and guided missiles, in a transaction valued at approximately 435.2 million euros (US$510 million).
The potential agreement underscores South Korea's growing presence in the global defense market, with the Chunmoo system gaining attention for its advanced capabilities. The rocket launchers are designed to provide precision strikes and are known for their versatility and effectiveness in various combat scenarios. Industry sources believe that this deal could open doors for further collaborations between the two nations in the defense sector.
