Seoul: The latest KOSPI 200 closing prices showcased significant gains for Hanwha Aerospace while Doosan experienced notable losses. Hanwha Aerospace saw an increase of 13,000, closing at 792,000. In contrast, Doosan faced a decline of 3,500, ending at 283,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also showed mixed results. Hanchem rose by 4,000 to reach 112,800, and Hyundai Elevator increased by 2,800, closing at 65,600. KEPCO and Samsung Securities also posted gains, with KEPCO up 400 to 23,550 and Samsung Securities up 200 to 43,900.
On the downside, S-1 dropped by 900 to 61,700, while SK Telecom saw a decrease of 600, ending at 55,900. CJ Logistics and Samsung C and T also recorded losses, with CJ Logistics down 600 to 82,100 and Samsung C and T down 800 to 113,700.
Other notable movements included KIA Corp.'s rise of 1,000 to 83,000 and Coway's increase of 3,700 to 74,500. Meanwhile, Naver and Lotte Shopping faced declines, with Naver down 300 to 182,700 and Lotte Shopping down 500 to 62,600.
Smaller gains were recorded by companies such as Kumho Tire, up 40 to 4,305, and Hanon Systems, up 55 to 3,320. Meanwhile, Doosan Enerbility and Doosanfc also experienced slight losses, with Doosan Enerbility down 50 to 23,350 and Doosanfc down 10 to 13,860.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 exhibited a range of performances, with companies like Samsung Life and Lotte Wellfood posting increases, while others like Samsung SDS and KT showed decreases.
