Seoul: Hanmi Pharm. Co. on Thursday announced a substantial decline in its third-quarter net income, reporting earnings of 35 billion won (US$25.3 million), which signifies a 42.3 percent decrease from the same period last year. According to Yonhap News Agency, the pharmaceutical company disclosed that its operating income for the July-September quarter stood at 51 billion won, marking an 11.4 percent reduction from a year ago. Additionally, the company's sales experienced a slight decline of 0.7 percent, totaling 362.1 billion won during the same period. The operating profit, however, was 3.2 percent above the average estimate, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency. Information regarding the estimate of net profit was not provided.
