Hajja Districts Honor 19th Anniversary of Scholar Majd al-Din al-Mu’ayyadi’s Legacy

Hajja: The districts of Al-Shahil, Al-Mahabsha, and Kahlan Afar in Hajja governorate commemorated the 19th anniversary of the passing of the scholar Sayyid Majd al-Din bin Muhammad al-Mu'ayyadi through cultural evenings. According to Yemen News Agency, in Al-Shahil, Ahmed Al-Ashoul, head of the Islamic Forum, and cultural figure Muhammad Al-Madoumi presented excerpts from the life of Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi during an evening organized by the Islamic Forum and the local branch of the Endowment Office. They highlighted his scholarly and jihadist contributions, virtues, asceticism, piety, and benevolence.

In the presence of scholars and local figures, they discussed al-Mu'ayyadi's role in confronting Wahhabi ideology, resisting military attempts to invade Yemen, and promoting intellectual awareness through teaching, preaching, and guidance. They noted his efforts to spread the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt across various regions and his travels to educate, producing a generation of scholars under his guidance.

Both speakers encouraged the pursuit of knowledge, emphasizing the importance of learning Islamic sciences and attending scholarly schools and summer courses to protect against intellectual invasion and maintain awareness in all aspects of life, including the jihadist path.

In Al-Mahabsha, the Islamic Forum and the Endowment Office branch organized a cultural evening where Hasan Ajlan Al-Na'ami and Abdulrahman Al-Sharafi, members of the Scholars' Association, spoke about the significance of commemorating Imam Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi's annual anniversary. They described the commemoration as a religious and educational opportunity to strengthen faith and devotion to God and the family of the Prophet.

They reviewed aspects of al-Mu'ayyadi's life, his scholarly and jihadist work, and his dedication to spreading beneficial knowledge. He was portrayed as a symbol of learning and guidance who followed the authentic Muhammadan path, enlightened people in religious sciences, and corrected misconceptions.

In Kahlan Afar, the Endowment Office branch organized an evening where Deputy Director of the General Endowment Office, Abdu Al-Ahnoumi, and branch director, Fouad Salah, emphasized al-Mu'ayyadi's scholarly works as a testament to preserving true Islamic doctrine. With the presence of local figures, they affirmed that the Ahl al-Bayt approach is the path to confront threats facing the Yemeni people, reflecting the thought and character exemplified by Imam al-Mu'ayyadi.

They reviewed key moments from al-Mu'ayyadi's life, highlighting his role in spreading education and teaching generations in various fields of knowledge.
