Dubai:South Korean entertainment technology startup Galaxy Corp. has announced the opening of a new robot performance arena in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This marks the company's second venue of its kind, following its initial establishment in South Korea.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Galaxy Corp. collaborated with Dubai-based Emaar Entertainment and Reel Cinemas to introduce the Galaxy Robot Arena at the Dubai Mall, noted as the world's largest shopping mall by total area.
The launch event, which took place on Friday, featured humanoid robots performing synchronized dances to a fusion of K-pop and Middle Eastern music. Additionally, robots dressed as astronauts with the flags of South Korea and the UAE were present, symbolizing the cooperation between the two nations.
Galaxy Corp. had previously opened its first robot-themed park in Seoul in August and initiated a promotional campaign in New York's Times Square last month. The company has plans to further expand its global footprint in physical artificial intelligence (AI) entertainment by establishing robot arenas in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore.
