Flooding in Chiang Mai is almost as bad as in 2011.

The water level in the Ping River that flows through Chiang Mai city has continued to decrease, causing flooding in communities to slowly recede. However, there are still several areas where the water is still high, including important ancient sites such as Wiang Kum Kam, the first capital of Lanna, which was flooded almost 3 meters high. Chiang Mai residents say that this flooding is as severe as the great flood in 2011.
