Milan: Figure skaters Lee Hae-in and Shin Ji-a are set to compete in the free skate of the women's singles event at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Thursday. In the short program held on Tuesday, Lee achieved her season-best score of 70.07 points, securing a ninth-place ranking, while Shin finished 14th with a score of 65.66 points.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim Yu-na remains the only South Korean figure skater to have reached an Olympic podium, having won the women's singles championship in 2010 and a silver medal in 2014. Additionally, South Korea is scheduled to face Canada in its final round-robin match of the women's curling tournament on Thursday. The top four teams at the end of this phase will proceed to the semifinals, which are set for Friday.

The results of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes' Commission election will also be revealed on Thursday. Won Yun-jong, the 2018 Olympic bobsleigh silver medalist, is vying to become the third South Korean member of the commission. Previous members include former taekwondo champion Moon Dae-sung and ex-table tennis gold medalist and current Korean Sport and Olympic Committee President Ryu Seung-min. Members of the Athletes' Commission serve an eight-year term and possess the same rights as other IOC members.
