Daegu: Hanwha Eagles manager Kim Kyung-moon made a couple of lineup changes ahead of his team's next postseason game Tuesday night, hoping the new faces could provide some early spark against the Samsung Lions.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee Do-yun has been brought in to replace Sim Woo-jun at shortstop and will bat seventh. Additionally, Choi In-ho will take over as the new right fielder for Kim Tae-yean and bat eighth for Game 3 of the second-round series in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) postseason at Daegu Samsung Lions Park in the southeastern city of Daegu.

Sim is recognized as a superior defender at shortstop, but Kim emphasized that the offense will be the focal point for his team. Choi will be making his first appearance of the series.

"As the road team here, we will have to score first to put ourselves in a good spot to win," Kim stated in his pregame media session. "That's why we made the changes that we did. And Choi In-ho has been swinging the bat well, and I expect him to make some good contact tonight."

The Eagles managed to secure a split at home over the weekend and are now aiming to clinch the best-of-five series on the road.

If the Eagles manage to take early control of Tuesday's game, Kim mentioned that right-hander Moon Dong-ju, a starter who delivered a dominant relief outing in Game 1, will be available out of the bullpen once again.

"If Moon Dong-ju ends up pitching tonight, then we will have to think about who's going to start tomorrow," Kim added. "But we will worry about that later. Winning this game is the more pressing issue for us."

The Eagles have another starter-turned-reliever available in Um Sang-back, but he faced challenges in his postseason debut for the Eagles on Sunday, allowing a two-run homer in the ninth inning of a 7-3 loss.

When asked about Um's condition following the rough outing, Kim said, "I'd rather talk about positive things only."
