Pyongyang: The Missile Administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Academy of Chemical Materials have successfully conducted a ground jet test of a high-thrust solid-fuel engine using composite carbon fiber material, it was reported yesterday. This marks the ninth and final ground jet test in the engine's development process, with the engine achieving a maximum thrust of 1,971 kilonewtons.

According to Nam News Network, Kim Jong Un, the general secretary of the Workers Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, oversaw the test. He stated that the development of the high-thrust carbon fiber solid-fuel engine represents a significant success in the modernization of defense technology. He further emphasized that it heralds a change in expanding and strengthening the nuclear strategic forces of the DPRK.
