Seoul: The soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" and the new album "Do It" by boy group Stray Kids have both climbed into the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard main albums chart this week.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack ascended two spots to reach No. 3 on the Billboard 200, compared to the previous week.
Stray Kids' album "Do It," which debuted at No. 1 a week prior, experienced a slight decline, moving down three places to land at No. 4. The K-pop group has already achieved a significant milestone by sending eight consecutive albums to the top of the Billboard 200, a rare accomplishment for any act on the chart.
This week's No. 1 position was claimed by U.S. pop star Taylor Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl," which has now spent a total of eight non-consecutive weeks at the top. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums in the United States, measured by equivalent album units, which include physical album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
During the latest tracking period, the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack earned the equivalent of 66,000 album units, while Stray Kids' "Do It" generated approximately 64,000 units.
