DAPA Completes Development of Armored Medical Evacuation Vehicle

Seoul: The state arms procurement agency announced the completion of an armored medical evacuation vehicle designed to enhance the survivability of troops on the front lines. The newly developed vehicle is specifically designed to transport wounded soldiers from the front lines to medical facilities while providing remote medical support during transit.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the current military ambulances face challenges in delivering emergency transport near combat zones due to their low mobility and insufficient protective gear. The new armored vehicle addresses these issues with improved mobility and protection, ensuring safer evacuations in conflict areas.

DAPA has outlined plans to initiate mass production of the medical evacuation vehicle. This step aims to facilitate timely delivery to the Army, enhancing the military's capability to provide effective medical evacuation in combat situations.
