Seoul: Daewoo Engineering and Construction (E and C) Co. on Monday reported its fourth-quarter net loss of 878.1 billion won (US$600.1 million), marking a significant shift from a profit of 14.5 billion won in the same period a year earlier.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that it experienced an operating loss of 1.1 trillion won for the October-December period. This is a stark contrast to the operating profit of 121.2 billion won reported during the same quarter the previous year. Furthermore, the company's revenue experienced a substantial decline, falling by 35.2 percent to 1.71 trillion won.
