Seoul: Daewoo Engineering and Construction (E and C) Co. on Monday reported a net loss of 916.1 billion won (US$626.1 million) for the year 2025, a sharp downturn from a profit of 242.8 billion won the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that it incurred an operating loss of 815.4 billion won in 2025. This follows a profit of 403.1 billion won recorded a year earlier. Additionally, Daewoo E and C's annual sales experienced a drop of 23.3 percent, falling to 8.05 trillion won.

The financial results highlight a challenging year for Daewoo E and C, marking a substantial reversal from its previous financial standing. The decrease in sales and significant operating losses illustrate the difficulties faced by the company throughout 2025.
