Seoul: Comedian Park Na-rae stated on Tuesday that legal procedures are in progress concerning allegations of workplace abuse and illegal medical treatment made against her. This marks her first official statement since pausing her broadcasting activities eight days ago.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Park appeared on a YouTube channel and explained that she is "taking legal steps" to "calmly establish the facts of the allegations." She expressed regret over the controversy and voiced concern about potential harm to the TV shows and colleagues involved.

Park, aged 40, shared her sentiments, stating, "I feel heavy-hearted for causing many people concerns and stress because of the recent issues." She further emphasized, "I won't be making any further comments or explanations during this process, as I believe these matters should be handled objectively through due process, not through personal emotions or relationships."

She also expressed her intentions to avoid "hurting" others or letting the situation escalate into "unnecessary arguments." Park declared her focus on resolving the issues by suspending all her activities, indicating her intention to take time for self-reflection. She noted that this video would be her last public statement on the matter.

The previous Monday, the "I Live Alone" star announced the suspension of all broadcasting activities amid growing allegations of abuse against her former managers and claims that she received illegal medical treatment. The controversy intensified when two former managers accused her of verbal abuse, physical assaults, and assigning them tasks unrelated to her official schedules. Additionally, Park is facing allegations of receiving unauthorized injections and proxy prescriptions from an unlicensed practitioner.
