Seoul: A bomb threat was reported at an Olympic gymnastics stadium in eastern Seoul on Sunday, prompting spectators to evacuate the site, police said. No casualties have been reported.

According to Yonhap News Agency, police dispatched a bomb squad to search for the explosive device allegedly planted at the KSPO Dome, also known as the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, located in the Songpa district. Officials noted that the threat came via a fax message claiming an explosive had been installed at the venue.

The incident occurred just hours before K-pop boy group The Boyz was set to hold a concert at the arena at 4 p.m. The group's agency informed fans that the concert would be delayed due to the bomb threat.

This threat follows a series of similar incidents in recent weeks, including an online post threatening to blow up the main branch of Shinsegae Department Store in Myeongdong, central Seoul, which led to the evacuation of approximately 4,000 customers.

Authorities have reminded the public that making threats to harm an unspecified number of people is a serious offense, punishable by up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won (US$14,400).
