Seoul: K-pop singer BoA has founded her own management agency, BApal Entertainment, following her departure from SM Entertainment late last year. This move comes after 25 years with the label, marking a significant transition in her career.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 39-year-old artist launched BApal Entertainment to create a new system that clarifies her musical direction. The newly formed agency stated that the company's name merges her stage name with the word "pal," representing BoA and her friends.
An aide to BoA highlighted that the "precious memories and valuable experiences" from her long career have been pivotal in shaping her into the artist she is today. The aide also mentioned that BoA plans to leverage her past experiences to further deepen her music.
