Seoul: Amorepacific Corp. on Thursday announced a substantial rise in its third-quarter net profit, reaching 37.2 billion won (US$26.9 million), marking a 39.5 percent increase from the same period last year. According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating income for the July-September period surged to 65.2 billion won, representing a remarkable increase of 277.7 percent compared to the previous year. Additionally, Amorepacific's revenue saw a notable rise of 9.9 percent, totaling 977.2 billion won. These earnings figures surpassed market expectations, with analysts having predicted an average net profit of 35.3 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
