AMCHAM Launches ‘K-Doorknock’ Program to Boost Korean Firms’ Expansion in U.S.

Seoul: The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) announced the launch of a new initiative designed to support Korean companies aiming to expand their business operations and investments in the United States. This program, named "K-Doorknock," seeks to enhance AMCHAM's annual Washington Doorknock program by providing a platform specifically for Korean companies to engage directly with U.S. policymakers and business leaders.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the delegation involved in the K-Doorknock program includes senior executives from major Korean firms such as Hyundai Motor Group, LG Group, Dunamu, SoluM, and Hangang Asset Management. Additionally, representatives from AMCHAM member companies participating in this year's Washington Doorknock program, including Bayer, Corning, Novelis, and Pfizer, are also part of the delegation.

The four-day visit to Washington, D.C., which spans from Monday through Thursday, will see the delegation meeting with officials from the Donald Trump administration and members of Congress. The discussions aim to explore ways to expand bilateral investment, strengthen regulatory cooperation, and deepen economic ties between the two nations, as stated by the chamber.

"As investment between our two countries continues to grow in both directions, AMCHAM is committed to supporting Korean companies expanding in the United States, just as we have long supported American companies doing business in Korea," AMCHAM Chairman James Kim emphasized in a release.
