Seoul: All five members of the K-pop girl group NewJeans announced on Wednesday their return to management agency ADOR, concluding a yearlong legal dispute that followed a court verdict last month.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in late October that the exclusive contract between NewJeans and ADOR remains valid. Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue working with ADOR, as stated by the management company. After consulting with their families and holding sufficient discussions with ADOR, the two members decided to respect the court's verdict and the exclusive contract.

ADOR has committed to making full efforts to support the future activities of NewJeans in the entertainment industry. Following the agency's announcement, the remaining three members, Danielle, Minji, and Hanni, expressed their decision to return to ADOR after engaging in careful consultations.

One member is currently in Antarctica, which delayed the delivery of their stance. As ADOR is not currently responding, the three members are notifying the agency individually. ADOR stated it is currently confirming the intentions of the three members to return.

The legal conflict began when NewJeans announced the termination of its contract with ADOR in November of the previous year, citing a breach of trust due to the agency's alleged failure to fulfill its obligations. ADOR filed a lawsuit the following month, arguing that the group's attempt to pursue an independent career constituted a serious breach of contract. In late October, ADOR announced it had completed preparations for future activities, including the release of a regular album.
